Annual Monitoring Report for Black Chip Permit

Client:
Conifex Timber Inc.

Conifex Timber (Conifex) holds a permit from the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (ENV) pertaining to black chip stockpiling and use, a residual from the pulp and paper industry.  As part of the permit requirements, Conifex conducts a quarterly groundwater monitoring program. SYLVIS was engaged to provide qualified professional services in the area of soil, groundwater and nutrient management by preparing the annual report to be submitted to ENV.

A SYLVIS Qualified Professional reviewed the permit requirements and all available 2017 data. Relevant federal and provincial water quality guidelines and standards were used for comparison and data interpretation. All information was compiled into a report appropriate for direct submission to ENV, enabling the client to meet the annual reporting requirements while also providing them with meaningful interpretation and recommendations.
