We are pleased to introduce you to Vanessa Menunzio, Diploma in Environmental Protection.

Vanessa has undertaken the role of SYLVIS’s health and safety coordinator.

Vanessa divides her time between the office and the field.  In the office she assists with the development of internal systems as well as data management.  In the field she performs invasive species management as well as soil, water and vegetation sampling. She has had the opportunity to conduct field work at many of SYLVIS’s sites in the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island, Interior and Edmonton.

Vanessa gained international experience in invasive species management and habitat reconstruction when she worked in the Galapagos.  There she was also able to participate in an accelerated compost study.  She has been able to apply the knowledge gained from her experiences to her job at SYLVIS.

Her previous work experience as an analytical laboratory technician has led her into the role of the data manager at SYLVIS.  She manages all analytical data received and liaises with external laboratories.

Vanessa enjoys traveling to destinations close and far and spending time with friends and family over good food.
