We are pleased to introduce you to Jordan Tam BSc., AAg

Jordan is an Environmental Technician who started with SYLVIS in spring 2015. Before joining SYLVIS Jordan received his B.Sc in Physical Geography from Simon Fraser University. He currently is pursuing a professional designation with the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists. He has a keen interest in the fields of residuals management, soil sciences and agricultural sustainability.

Jordan is a member of the SYLVIS team that aids in the management of a landfill leachate treatment system and biomass plantation in Richmond BC. At this site, his primary responsibilities include ongoing environmental monitoring, irrigation system maintenance and vegetation management. Previous work experiences with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Maxxam Analytics and the Pacific Field Corn Association have given him a strong technical background in sample collection, data analysis, report writing and in the maintenance of research trials.

Jordan enjoys distance running, playing tennis, hiking and camping in BC’s local provincial parks.
