The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment's (CCME) Canada-wide Approach for Biosolids Management promotes the beneficial use of valuable resources such as nutrients, organic matter and energy contained within municipal biosolids, municipal sludge and treated septage.
Information Sessions: Province-wide Review of the Organic Matter Recycling Regulation
On April 4, 2016, government announced the province-wide review of the Organic Matter Recycling Regulation. Accordingly the Ministry of Environment is offering a two-part series of informational webinars over the summer months for stakeholders and interested parties.
Part 1 – Process Series
This series will provide information on the regulation amendment process and inform interested parties about how they may engage in the review process. The same presentation will be provided at each of the following three sessions.
- Session 1A: July 19, 10:00AM to 11:00AM PDT
- Session 1B: July 20, 3:00PM to 4:00PM PDT
- Session 1C: July 21, 10:00AM to 11:00AM PDT
Part 2 – Policy Series
This series will provide a quick summary on the regulation amendment process and will provide information on potential policy issues under consideration for the upcoming Intentions Paper (publication planned for fall, 2016). The same presentation will be provided at each of the following three sessions.
- Session 2A: August 9, 10:00AM to 11:00AM PDT
- Session 2B: August 10, 3:00PM to 4:00PM PDT
- Session 2C: August 11, 10:00AM to 11:00AM PDT
